LAUSD Launches Daily Pass App to Keep Students and Teachers Safe

Daily Pass: The Los Angeles Unified School District is launching an app, Daily Pass, that will help keep students and teachers safe. Designed for a variety of visitors, the app includes COVID testing, contact tracing, vaccination, and more. Unlike other apps, it will not catch those who are asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19. In addition to LA Unified, UCLA, and Stanford universities will collect anonymous data about daily pass users to improve the school environment.

App version

The Daily Pass app is an individualized identification system that allows students, staff, and visitors into schools and other locations within LAUSD. Every student and staff member has a unique QR code that can be scanned and enables access to specific locations within LAUSD for a single day. To obtain a Daily Pass, a student must have a negative COVID test result, be free of symptoms, and have a temperature under 100 degrees.

This app is available for Android, iOS, and desktop computers. Unlike many other apps, Daily Pass is available on Macs, PCs, and laptops. There are a number of advantages to using this app. It’s easy to download, works on most devices, and helps students stay organized. Users can even set up reminders for themselves if they need to travel. The app also provides an easy way to see which places are busiest, and which ones are the most expensive.

COVID tests

If you’re looking to keep your students healthy and safe, daily passing COVID tests is an easy way to do so. The Los Angeles Unified School District has made a change to its COVID-testing requirement. Instead of forcing all students to take the test every week, the school district will only require it when a student has experienced the symptoms of the COVID virus or has been exposed to a person who has. The change comes after guidance from medical advisers. However, it’s still necessary for students to pass COVID tests, and failing to do so may result in conduct sanctions, including expulsion or suspension.

The DOE has contracted with various outside vendors to administer these tests. They include BioReference Laboratories, Fulgent Genetics, MedRite, and Somos Healthcare. In exchange, schools will offer the COVID test kits to students and staff who exhibit the symptoms of COVID. Students who test positive will need to be isolated from the rest of their classmates and staff, but those who have negative results will be allowed to enter the school building.

COVID vaccinations

To avoid being quarantined while traveling overseas, it is necessary to obtain a COVID vaccination before visiting foreign countries. The COVID-19 vaccine can be obtained through mobile clinics, walk-up locations, and homebound programs. Individuals who are unsure whether they are eligible for this vaccine must complete a survey. The information collected will be used to provide guidance on health issues, quarantine, and testing.

New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced this week that people who receive a Johnson & Johnson vaccine will receive a free, two-day park pass valid through September 30, 2021. The free pass can be obtained at any New York State Park. The announcement was made at a mass vaccination site at Jones Beach State Park. In addition, 15 state parks in New York City will host pop-up COVID-19 vaccination sites.

QR code

Using your school’s Daily Pass QR code is easy. All students are required to bring it with them to school every day. Teachers and support staff are required to take the same test before they can enter the campus. Students must produce their Daily Pass QR code to gain entry into the building. Support staff and administrators can scan the code to verify that the student has not been suspended or expelled in the past. Then, students and staff can use it to ride the bus or train to school.

In addition, Daily Pass generates a unique QR code for every student and staff member. This code grants them access to a specific LAUSD location for that day. To use the app, students, and staff must be in good health and have negative COVID test results. Applicants must also have a temperature under 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The Daily Pass app has been available since 2014.
